I'm happy to help explain the differences in our upgraded email account platform:
  • visual graphics that should not be problematic
  • the platform will be more reliable, modern, and robust,
  • the biggest change is the number of email accounts that can be created and the increase in storage space available.

We are now limited to creating 25 email accounts for our community. However, each email account will have 8GB of storage space with a combined total of 200GB That leads the industry!

It's also important to note that we haven't lost any capabilities on the new platform, but rather gained new ones. For example, we can:
  • now create contact lists,
  • add permanent auto-responders,
  • and add more information to saved contacts.

With the contact lists (also referred to as distribution lists or contact groups), you can store groups of contacts—making it easy to send emails to predefined groups of recipients where leaders have elected to not create a Group for Blast email purposes.


The permanent auto-responder feature will generally be used for return messages letting the person who submitted the email know you've received it. You can also set a date range for the auto-responder, making it ideal for out-of-office messages. This feature can be enabled in your webmail settings: https://webmail.hoa.email/settings/mail/autoresponder

Caution to people using old mobile, tablet and internet browsers


If you use a phone or tablet and cannot reach the webmail login page, the issue may be:

  • too old a version of iOS that your iPad or iphone is running on. Update it, and if it cannot update to reasonably current versions you will need an alternative device.
  • The new webmail interface is more modern, and therefore, relies on more modern technologies. If your current browser fails to open the webmail login page, change your browser access to Google Chrome or Firefox, although you can try another alternative. of your preference.
  • You should clear your cache, try again, and if needed hard reboot your device.
